Molecularbiological / Immunological Testing

In addition to the "classical" cultural methods, we also offer comprehensive molecular biological and immunological investigations. Here, regions of the genetic material DNA are detected by the use of specific primers in the course of the so-called polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or characteristic antigenic determinants of proteins are detected by the use of specific antibodies by means of enzyme immunoassay (EIA).

Pathogenic Germs

Various "rapid methods" are available for more rapid specific requirements. Detection of live pathogenic germs can be achieved by PCR, with appropriate coordination, i.a. within approximately 18-28 h.

Animal Species

For quality-related or ethnic reasons (e.g. Halal products), components, contaminations or carry-overs of certain animal species are often undesirable. By means of PCR we examine your samples for the presence of beef, pork, turkey, chicken and horse.

Allergens

According to Regulation (EU) 1169/2011, allergens must be labeled on the packaging if they are contained as an ingredient in food (there is also an information requirement for unpackaged goods). Detection is carried out by PCR and/or EIA.

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO)

Based on Regulations (EC) No. 1829/2003 and (EC) 1830/2003, all food and feed containing GMOs must be labeled and traceable, with a few exceptions. The detection is done by PCR. We are a laboratory listed with the "Verband Lebensmittel Ohne Gentechnik e.V." (VLOG).
