Chemical Testing

Safe verification of the composition of your products

In the field of chemical analysis, food and drinking water are routinely analyzed for their composition.

Nutritional Analysis

According to Regulation (EU) 1169/2011, the nutritional information of the "Big 7 "must be provided in tabular form on processed, packaged foods from 13.12.2016. Big 7" means the information on energy, the amount of fat, saturated fatty acids, carbohydrates, sugars, protein and salt.

Our laboratory also provides support in this area. We perform all tests in our in-house chemistry laboratory.

Determination of Ingredients and Additives

Further determinations e.g. of ethanol, lactose, calcium, phosphate and starch for product characterization and classification are part of our standard repertoire.

Additional Parameters

For the evaluation of meat and sausage products according to the guidelines for meat and meat products of the German Food Book, BEFFE analysis is another core business of our laboratory. For fat and edible oil evaluation, the peroxide value and the sensory evaluation, among others, are important analytical tools. On request, we can also help with other questions.

Drinking and Potable Water Analysis

In addition to the microbiological analysis already described, chemical drinking water analysis is also an important component for assessing the quality of drinking water. pH, hardness, ammonium, nitrite, nitrate, iron, manganese and oxidizability are exemplary parameters of the drinking water ordinance. In the drinking water sector, it is mainly iron, pH, salt, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, KMnO4 consumption, conductivity, phosphate, sulfate, chloride that are used for assessment.
