Pathogen collection

Resulting from the primary isolation of pathogens, we have an extensive, continually growing collection of bacterial pathogens at our disposal that can be responsible for respiratory infections, enteritis or septicaemia in poultry or swine.
These pathogens are conserved at -80 °C through the MicroBank-System ®. They can be provided for scientific basic – and follow-up studies as well as for the testing and registration of pharmaceuticals.

Amongst others, the collection mainly consists of these pathogens:

  • Avibacterium paragallinarum
  • Bordetella avium
  • Bordetella bronchiseptica
  • Clostridium perfringens
  • Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae
  • Escherichia coli
  • Gallibacterium spp.
  • Mycoplasma gallisepticum
  • Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale
  • Pasteurella multocida
  • Riemerella anatipestifer
  • Salmonella spp.

Besides this main collection, we have a diverse range of rare and exotic isolates available covering the complete bacteriological spectrum.
